    The Glenn House is a historic home located at 325 S Spanish St, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703. This two-story painted brick dwelling has cross-gabled and pyramidal roofs. It is also notable for its verandah with Tuscan order columns, turret, and oriel window. This historic home is open to the public and can be a great place to visit and learn more about the history of the area. The house was built in 1883 and is one of the oldest structures in Cape Girardeau. Some of the original structures date back to the 1800s, when the town was booming with manufacturing and agriculture. Currently, the Glenn House is owned by the local historical association. The home is known for its interesting architecture, antique furnishings, fashion collections, and artifacts.

    The Glenn House is located on a hill overlooking the city. This historic property is a popular tourist destination and a local landmark. It is a Victorian-era home with classical and Eastlakian embellishment. It has been meticulously restored and is a memorial to Edwin Branch Deane, a pioneer architect of Cape Girardeau. His work was highly regarded and included many imposing homes in various popular styles. It was named on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The Glenn House is one of the city’s oldest and most beautiful buildings. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places, and is listed as a National Historic Site. The home is a perfect example of this type of architectural style from the early 1800s. The Glenn House was the first fully restored historic residence in the city.
    Although it was originally built in 1883, it underwent a renovation through the 1890’s to take on the poplular Queen Anne style popularized towards the end of the century. The focus of the Glenn House tourism is historical preservation, however the allure of supernatural phenomena has proven successful at influencing a new vein of exposure to Cape Girardeau’s history.
